Introducing Mi Detox Electrolytes from Functional Detox Products!

Think electrolytes are just for marathon runners, crossfitters, or people with a stomach bug? Think again!

Electrolytes are a missing piece of many health puzzles -- especially when it comes to toxic mold. When you restore electrolyte balance, all your body’s systems work better, and you get an energy boost to boot.

I looked high and low for an electrolytes supplement I felt confident recommending to my mold clients. But nothing checked all my boxes. So, I made one for you! I’m excited to introduce the newest member of the Functional Detox Products family...Mi Detox Electrolytes!

This post will give you the inside scoop on what sets this electrolytes supplement apart from the rest, why I chose the ingredients, and the health benefits they offer.

What Are Electrolytes and What Do They Do?

Electrolytes are minerals that carry an electric charge in the body. They’re critical for many important bodily processes, including hydration, regulating internal pH, proper nerve and muscle function, and much more.

Some main electrolytes include:

  • Sodium

  • Potassium

  • Calcium

  • Magnesium

  • Phosphorus

  • Chloride

  • Bicarbonate

Ideally, everyone would get enough electrolytes from food alone. But certain situations can lead to electrolyte imbalance, including:

Introducing Mi Detox Electrolytes Supplement

In my electrolytes supplement search, I kept coming across the same problems. Most products were packed with sugar, corn syrup, artificial flavors and colors, or other nasty chemicals that can harm your health.

Mi Detox Electrolytes are as clean as can be, with no artificial anything. In addition to supplying you with some essential electrolytes for deep hydration, this product has some added bonuses to bolster detox, enhance immunity, and boost energy. Let’s dive into why I chose the ingredients in this custom formula.

Mi Detox Electrolytes Supplement Ingredients (& Their Benefits)

1. Magnesium Malate

Magnesium, dubbed “nature’s chill pill,” is an electrolyte mineral that relaxes your muscles, promotes detox, and supports healthy elimination. Magnesium gets depleted by stress, so it’s no surprise magnesium deficiency runs rampant. Over 48% of the US does not get enough magnesium. (1)

Plus, magnesium helps ATP production, and the magnesium malate form does this exceptionally well. Magnesium malate is chelated to malic acid, which also supports ATP production in your cells. (2)

2. Sodium Chloride

Sodium, also an electrolyte mineral, helps maintain the balance of water around your cells. When you add salt to your food, you’re adding sodium. Sodium is vital for people suffering from adrenal fatigue, as cortisol regulates sodium balance in the body. (3)

3. Potassium Aspartate

Potassium is an electrolyte that helps regulate fluid balance, nerve signals, and muscle function. It also helps your heartbeat stay steady. When potassium gets too low, it can cause muscle cramps, muscle weakness, twitching, and fatigue. (4)

4. Vitamin C (as Ascorbic Acid)

Vitamin C is an antioxidant best known for its immune-boosting powers (which certainly comes in handy these days). Vitamin C prevents oxidative stress, reduces inflammation, supports phase 1 and 2 liver detox, and is needed for proper adrenal health. (5, 6)

5. Vitamin B1 (Thiamine mononitrate)

Vitamin B1 plays a key role in turning your food into energy, a process known as ATP. (7) Like all B-vitamins, vitamin B1 is water-soluble, which means your body can’t hold on to it. That means all your B vitamins (including B1) need to be replenished daily to prevent deficiency.  All B vitamins get depleted by stress, making it even more important to get your fill every day.

6. Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin)

Like B1, vitamin B2 helps your body produce ATP. (8) Vitamin B2 also supports healthy mucous membranes in the digestive system and proper hormone production in your adrenal glands. (9) It’s crucial for maintaining a healthy liver and helps your body convert the amino acid tryptophan into niacin. (9)

7. Vitamin B6 as PSP (Pyridoxal’ 5-phosphate)

Vitamin B6 is essential for proper amino acid metabolism. It’s needed to create mood-boosting neurotransmitters like serotonin, dopamine, and GABA. (10) Vitamin B6 is also crucial for methylation, which is why deficiency is linked with decreased glutathione levels. (11) Mi Detox Electrolytes include vitamin B6 in its active form P5P to allow for better absorption.

8. Selenium

Selenium is an antioxidant that supports the immune system and is critical for healthy thyroid function. (12, 13) Numerous studies show its antioxidant action protects your body from environmental toxins, including heavy metals and mycotoxins. (14, 15, 16, 17)

9. Quercetin

Quercetin is a flavonoid with immune-boosting effects. (18) It acts as an antioxidant, combating harmful free radicals. Research shows quercitin reduces inflammatory markers even better than the antioxidant resveratrol. (19

10. Organic Blackberry Fruit Powder

This formula includes blackberry powder to give you an additional antioxidant boost. Blackberries contain high amounts of the flavonoid anthocyanin, which has neuroprotective effects and may reduce your risk of cancer and diabetes. (20, 21)

Finally...a Clean Electrolyte Supplement (That Tastes Great Too!)

Too many electrolytes supplements on the market are chock-full of sugar, corn syrup, or nasty chemicals. Or they’re so overly sweetened with stevia they’re hard to get down.

Mi Detox Electrolytes are naturally sweetened with tropical fruit and stevia. That’s it. It has a mild, pleasant taste that makes you look forward to drinking more water.

Whether you’re looking to restore your electrolyte balance or boost your detox, immunity, or energy, Mi Detox Electrolytes can help.
